Lander Art Center

Medium: Print, Branding, Web, Experimental
Role: Designer

From 2012-2015, I worked with the Lander Art Center (LAC) on various projects from art opening posters to print materials and branding for their festivals, and even as a sommelier for their Valentine's event.

Art Openings - Posters and Print Materials

Art openings every six weeks provided a great creative outlet to explore and play with concept.

We asked the LAC Facebook fans what small things in life they enjoyed most. The poster for the show is the culmination of their answers.

For the small things show, I decided to take 100 shiny pennies and glue tiny posters to the back of each and scatter them around town. Finding a "good-luck" penny is one of those small things in life.

When 11 of Lander's rockstar female artists get together for a group show, then you put their names writ large on the marquee.

Riverfest - Posters, Banners, and Print Materials

Riverfest is an arts and music festival put on every summer by the Lander Art Center. Everyone comes out with the kids and the dogs and spends the day under the large cottonwood trees checking out artist booths, demonstrations, and live music. As an effort to get people to visit and spend at the artist booths, Lisa Hueneke, LAC Director, came up with the great idea of creating Riverfest Dollars that could be used exclusively at Riverfest. They were handed out in the months leading up to the festival through giveaways and art class participation.

Art in the Afternoon - Brand and Print Materials

Art in the Afternoon is a yearly arts and crafts fair that takes place in the Fall. With little local shopping options this event is a great way to check  off your holiday gift lists.

Web Updates / Tech Support

I served as the resident tech support for the art center like connecting network printers, running A/V for openings, or updating the website membership database which runs on Wild Apricot.

In 2014, I taught a beginner tech class for artists looking to promote their work online. Through my relationship with LAC, I was also asked to sit on a social media panel for the Wyoming CLICK Conference.
