Shaw for City Council

Medium: Branding, Web, Print
Role: Designer

Brett Shaw ran for Dubuque City Council. The brand needed to be modern and fresh, contrasting his competitors’ campaigns. I'm happy to report that he was elected! I'm happy to report that he was elected and is now serving the city of Dubuque, Iowa, as a council member!

The fonts Montserrat and Source Sans work really well together and are both Google Fonts able to be seamlessly used on web and print, and best of all they are free for use which is important to consider for a small campaign budget.

Website

With a tight budget and the need for easy content editing, we decided to use Squarespace to host the site. Google fonts are easy to integrate through their CMS, an added bonus. We could also focus on other aspects of the campaign without worrying about updating Wordpress plug-ins. Again, the goal with the site was to be fresh, friendly, easy to navigate, and to the point.
