Hello Edwin, My PC turns on, I type in my password and then I have just the black screen. However, if I do ALT+CTL+Delete and go to task manager I can open the different folders etc. I even opened up a Word Document then from there did new and was able to type up a new document and print. It seems everything is there but nothing comes up after signing in. Any suggestions?

Hello! This is a tricky one because it could be a number of issues. It sounds like explorer.exe, the program that runs the desktop, is not launching.I would first try this step from this blog post:

The first thing you want to try is to press Ctrl+Alt+Del and see if it brings up the Task Manager. If it does, great. Click on File > Run new task. Type explorer.exe and hit Enter. This worked for me once when I faced this issue.

I would also make sure to run virus scans and windows updates.I hope this helps,Edwin
