Palisade Colorado Wine Label

Inspired by textures from the unique landscape of slick rock textures and lichens, the goal was to give the wines a sense of place and to root each wine in the terroir. Kayenta and Entrada are each rock layers prominent in the area of Colorado National Monument and the underlying meanings of the words give further depth. Entrada means 'Entry', and Kayenta translates roughly to 'belonging to the northern Arizona branch of the Anasazi culture'. The lichens are knocked out of the label image and presented in a shining foil print to attract attention.
